Homer Reynolds Dixon of Campbellsville, Kentucky, was born on August 22, 1948 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Reynolds Hoover and Ada Stephens Dixon.


He departed this life on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at his residence having attained the age of 75 years, five months and 20 days.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a retired postal carrier.

Survivors include his wife nearly 24 years, Charleen Mattingly Dixon, having united in marriage on February 28, 2000.

Other survivors include one stepson: Joshua Harmon of Oldham County; one stepdaughter: Eryn Harmon of Corbin; four step grandchildren: Patrick Harmon, Jenelle Harmon, Johsua Harmon, Jr. and Jake Harmon; and was affectionately called "Papaw" by a special son: Chris Buchannan of Campbellsville; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Dixon, no formal services will be held.

Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements.
