Alene L. Shelby, age 89, of Cantonment passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Shelby was born on March 14, 1919 in Gant, Florida. She was a charter member of Cottage Hill First Baptist.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Hillary L. Shelby.
Survivors include her two sons, Douglas C. Mason and Edwin D. (Joyce) Mason, 2 brothers; Dewey Bedgood (Brenda) and William L. Bedgood (Marty), her grandchildren; Cincere, Mitchell, Teona, Suzanna, Regina, Kelli, Jacki and Julie, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment with Rev. Mark Torrez officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home North 1000 Highway 29 South Cantonment is in charge of arrangements.
