Carmon J. Bingham was born December 16, 1939, in Jackson County and departed this life Wednesday, February 14, 2024, (Valentine's Day), at his home in McKee, at the age of 84 years, 1 month, and 28 days. He was the son of the late Robert Bingham & Vina (Wright) Bingham.

Carmon is survived by two sisters, Brenda (Neal) Tillery of Nicholasville and Ila Mae Bingham of McKee. Other survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Carmon was also preceded in death by his wife, Cleva Faye (Holt) Bingham; and by his siblings, Ruth York, Reba Hurst, Riley Bingham, Johnny "Dank" Bingham, Wendell Bingham, Narcis Tussey Parrett, Marion Faye Harrison, (his twin) Coleman Bingham, Mallie Humes and Malvie Gilbert.

Carmon was a retired trucker and was a member of the Letter Box Baptist Church.


Funeral services and a masonic service will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, February 16, 2024, at Lakes Funeral Home's Bradshaw Chapel with Bro. Gary Farmer and Bro. Shane Gabbard officiating. Pallbearers: Mike York, Walter Hurst, Billy Bingham, Rod Bingham, Ronnie Bingham, Jeff Bingham, George Tillery, Matt Holt and Chris Holt. Honorary pallbearers: Harlos Wilson, Harold Tyree, Roger Spurlock, Tim Madden, Wayne Thompson, & John Holt. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in the Bingham Cemetery.
