David Allen "Al" Scott, 69 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. He was born Saturday, October 23, 1954 in Warrensburg, Missouri. He was the son of the late David and Reba Scott and the late Georgia Scott (Smith). He was the husband of Linda Scott (Stice), marrying August 12, 1977.


Al grew up in the Greenwood/Lee's Summit area and was a graduate of Lee's Summit High School. He was a truck driver most of his life but did work some for the Harley Davidson plant at the end of his working career. Al enjoyed riding motorcycles and blacksmithing. He would sometimes hold demonstrations to teach others the art of blacksmithing.


Al was a man of solitude and enjoyed the quietness of the country. He loved his farm and could often be found piddling around on the tractor or just enjoying the open nature of his farm.


Surviving are his wife, two sons and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, David and Reba Scott; mother, Georgia Scott; sister, Vickie Stephens; and an infant daughter, Tiffany Scott.


A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
