Graveside services for Mr. Jimmie Ray Denmark, age 64, of Avinger, will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Denmark will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Jimmie Denmark was born to Wadie and Mattie Chism on August 25, 1959. He attended Avinger High School. He worked various jobs in the manufacturing industry throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wadie and Mattie Chism; a daughter, LaToya Denmark; a brother, Billy Denmark; and a sister, Sherry Denmark.
He leaves to mourn a wife Toyce Denmark (Dallas); two sons, Jimmie Denmark Jr.(Los Angeles); and Jay Hartfield (Avinger); a special friend Teresa Sharp (Lone Star); three sisters, Kathy Wells (Mount Pleasant), Laura Chism (Hughes Springs), and Mary Johnson (Greenville); one brother, Jessie Chism (Kansas); and a special cousin, Shelia Thomas (Texarkana). He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, and cousins.
