Veronica A. Dzurisin, 91, formerly of 1102 Bronson St., died at 4 a.m. today, October 3, 1997 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Serving as pallbearers were granddaughters: Natalie Manchon, Kristine Dzurisin and Jennette Weiss; and grandsons: Brian, David, Kirk and Mark Dzurisin.
She was born March 4, 1906 in Kangley, a daughter of Stephen and Anna (Micklos) Sabol. She married John "Rusty" Dzurisin Jr. on September 26, 1935 in Streator. He died November 29, 1986.
She is survived by sons: James (Dianne) Dzurisin and John "Jack" (Karyn) Dzurisin III, both of Streator, and Robert (Alice) Dzurisin of Lockport; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a step-sister.
She attended local schools. A homemaker, she was also formerly employed by Griffith-Metcalf and Harvest Bakery.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, the churches Altar & Rosary Society, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, the Busy Matrons Club, and St. Ann's Lodge Branch 66 of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association.
