Walt Tankersley, Jr.

Graveside services for Walt Tankersley, Jr. will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2007 with Reverend Juan Huertas officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Mr. Tankersley, 86, of Alexandria passed away Sunday, November 18, 2007 in Regency House.

He was a member of Horseshoe Drive United Methodist Church, Abe Hinson Lodge #472 F&AM, El Karubah Temple, Shriners, High 12 Club #693, York Scottish Rite, VFW, American Legion, AmVets. He retired as a Central Office Foreman from BellSouth. Mr. Tankersley was a United States Army Air Corp. veteran.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna L. McPherson Tankersley; parents, Walter Tankersley and Alma Morris Dallas; brother, Howard Tankersley.

Those left to cherish his memory include one cousin, Jeanette Kelly of Douglasville, Georgia; best friend of twenty years, Brenda.

Friends may call Tuesday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 9 a.m. until shortly before service time.
