Amy Bellard Romain, 90, formerly of Iowa passed away at 1:45 PM, Monday, April 7, 2008 in the Golden Age Care facility in Welsh.

Amy was born August 25, 1917, to Albert and Odelia Bellard in Church Point, LA. She was a resident of Iowa for over forty-five years and in her later years; she worked as an assistant librarian for the Calcasieu Parish Library, Iowa Branch.

She is survived by one son, Walter R. Romain and wife Rachael of Reserve, LA; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; one brother, Mark Bellard of Lake Charles and one sister Annie Salter of Nederland, TX; daughter-in-laws, Debbie Cooper and Marie Romain and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berdner Romain, daughter, Marlene Roussell, two sons, Michael Romain and Herman Romain, great granddaughter, Lindsay Romain and brother George Bellard.

Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
