Kit Dunstan Judd was born in Deming, New Mexico on February 25, 1954, to Thomas Alfred Judd and Bethany Ann Hotchkin Judd. He was the first of 4 children. Alan Judd (Suzanne), Jennifer Kleese (Scott) and Rhonda Johnson (Eric). His father preceded him in death on September 22, 2009. All other immediate family and posterity are living. He was married for time and all eternity to his loving wife, Peggy Moser Judd in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on June 10, 1981. They have 5 children: Richard Judd (Barbara) of Martinsburg, WV, Melissa Matthews (Scott) of Willcox, AZ, Sharynn Ferrin (Jonathan) of Buckeye, AZ, Daniel Judd (Paige) of Cotton City, NM and Cynthia Mortenson (Owen) of Elfrida, AZ. He is also Papa to 19 grandchildren. He is a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is also a very proud El Paso Natural Gas Company Brat. He attended school in Willcox except for his Senior Year and Graduated from Bowie High School in 1972 and Graduated as a Heavy Line Diesel Mechanic at Eastern Arizona College in 1974. He continued his education throughout his career and had many specialty certifications. He owned his own auto shop, K and A Automotive for over 20 years and worked for a number of local businesses including Schmelzla Tire, Irrigation Sales and Service, Hatch Brothers Dodge (Service Manager) in Safford, Marks (Big O) Tire Service, Willcox Unified School District Bus Mechanic. He lived in Willcox, AZ a few years as a child but moved there permanently to raise his family in 1982 where he was active in the community, he played city volleyball, played and coached softball and even ran for city council. He also served for many years on the Rex Allen Days Committee. His lifelong goal was to travel the entire Route 66 in his Mustang, which he accomplished during his 66th year of life. He passed from this life on February 16, 2024, at the age of 69, at home surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Westlawn Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Animas Chapel at 23 Church Rd, Cotton City, New Mexico. A viewing will be in the relief society room at the church starting at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Animas-Cotton City Cemetery (Formerly the LDS Animas Cemetery)
