Margaret J. Ebright, 84, of Toledo, passed away April 28, 2008 in The Toledo Hospital, after a short illness. She was born May 21, 1923, in New Haven, Michigan to Ira and Dorothy Kirkum. Margaret was a 1941 graduate of Richmond High School, in Richmond, Michigan. Margaret worked at Sears from 1950 to 1986. She also was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church for 50+ years, where she enjoyed volunteering in her retirement years. Margaret came to Toledo in 1950 and married Harry G. Ebright, Jr. on November 24, 1951. He predeceased her in 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca J. (William) Guth and son, Bruce R. (Karly) Ebright. Also surviving are stepson, Harry G. Ebright III, a grandbaby with a due date of September 6, 2008, 2 step-grandsons, 2 stepgranddaughters, one stepgreat-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her father, mother, and only sibling, brother, Robert Kirkum, in 2006. In 1945, in her younger years, Margaret enlisted in the WAVES. She had her orders to report to Hunters College, in New York, but the war ended and they sent her her discharges papers. Margaret enjoyed her family; vacations in Houghton Lake, Michigan, Arizona and Florida; bowling; knitting; jigsaw puzzles; and rooting for the Tigers. Friends may call at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Rd., Wednesday, April 30th, 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services to be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1853 South Ave., on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Bethel Lutheran Church Unified Budget Fund.
