John E. Hocrafer, aged 67 years, died at 8 o'clock this morning in his home, 1329 Third avenue. He had been failing in health for a long time.
Mr. Hocrafer was born in Quincy, Ill., July 1, 1855. He was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Arnold in 1877. He had resided in Rock Island for 13 years. He was a carpenter by trade. The widow is the only survivor.
Funeral services will be held in the Moeller funeral home Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Chippiannock cemetery.
