service today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl with burial at 5:30 p.m.
today in Gallman Cemetery in Gallman.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of Damascus Baptist Church in Hazlehurst. She was
her high school senior beauty, a graduate of Mississippi College, retiring
as a teacher. Mrs. Taylor was an accomplished violinist with the Co-Lin
Orchestra as well as a pianist for early theatrical groups and her church.
She and Mr. Taylor resided in Gallman for the majority of their 62 years of
marriage.
Her husband, Clarence "Pete" Taylor and son, Clarence "Skipper" Taylor,
preceded her in death.
Survivors are daughters, Patsy and husband, Larry O'Neal of Wiggins, Barbara
Taylor Tanner of Prairieville, La., and Betty J. Taylor of Gallman; sister,
Mary Helen Sims of Vicksburg; five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
