During the WWI era he registered with the name Joseph Romeo Leblanc and gave his birthdate as 17 Jul 1897. This was 2 years before his age on every census and his death record. This was a common thing to do by men during war times to get to go at a young age. His father was his witness.

He was written Joseph Camille Leblanc for his marriage and for the birth of his children.

On both 1901 and 1911 censuses he was apparently called Antonio by the family, or that's what the writing appears to say. By 1921 he was enumerated as "Joseph."

Camille's mother and father had a baby born in April 1897 and she was not a twin. She passed away in 1898. I have yet to find Camille's baptism document so can't prove he was born in 1898 or 1899 but on every early census the family had a son born in around 1899.

Enlisted in Montreal December 15th. 1915. Rank: Private.

Arrived in England on the S.S. Baltic on April 10, 1916. Returned to Canada in 1919.

Started with No. 6 Gen. Hosp. "Laval." His older brother Rosario also enlisted and served as a Private with No. 6 Gen. Hosp. "Laval."
