William M. Fowler, 72 yrs, died in a local hospital Saturday night. Mr. Fowler, a lifelong resident of Pensacola, was a retired engineer of the L&N Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

He was a member of the East Hill Church of Christ and a life member of Escambia Masonic Lodge 15.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clara Alice Fowler of Pensacola; a son, Carl Maxwell Fowler, of Pensacola; five daughters, Mrs. Ann Powell & Mrs. Thelma Dunning, both of Pensacola, Mrs. Juanita Swain of Denver Colorado, Mrs. Beveles Nolan of Orange, Calif., and Mrs. Olan Moore of Garden City, NY; a brother, Henry Fowler of Pensacola; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Seller of Upland, Calif. and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Waters & Hibbert Chapel , with Evangelist E. N. Lovell officiating. Active pallbearers will be Freddie M. Black, Robert T. Baston, Jack D. Sandford, Sr., Kyle L. Croft, Robert P. Goelz and John C. Stacey. Honorary pallbearers will be engineers from the L&N Railroad.

Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery with Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home in charge.
