Rudolph "Rudy" Aaron Saylor was born on December 13th, 1877, in Newton Township, Ohio. His parents were George W. Saylor and Mary E. Shellabarger. Rudy completed the eighth grade.

Rudolph married Clara Sophia Schneck (1886-1959), on December 13th, 1903, in Montgomery County, Ohio. The couple had six children, 2 daughters (Iva, Beulah) and four sons (Paul, Everett, Vincent, Galen). Rudy supported his family as a farmer.

Brother Saylor was a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ. He preached the gospel message for the Bladensburg congregation for three months in 1917.

On January 12th, 1948, Rudolph "Rudy" Aaron Saylor went to his eternal reward in Bremo Bluff, Virginia.
