Agnes Lucinda DeArmond, daughter of William J. and Mary Fleetwood Cummins, was born July 5, 1914 near Seymour, in Webster County, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, April 20, 2003, in Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of eighty-eight years, nine months, and fifteen days.
On October 2, 1931, she was united in marriage to Chester A. DeArmond, and to this union two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester, on September 29, 1994; an infant son, Charles DeArmond; four brothers, Virgil, Hershel, Henry, and Wesley Cummins; and five sisters, Marie Fry, Flora Davidson, Fern Cummins, Gladys Hance, and Norma Jean Williams.
Agnes is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Anita DeArmond, of Seymour, Missouri; three grandchildren, Judy Street, and her husband, Ron, Karen Crump, and Tammy Wright, and her husband, Steven, all of Seymour, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Michelle Everhart, Michael Street, Amanda Wright, Dusty Claxton, and Kallun Wright, all of Seymour, Missouri; five great-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Tanner Carmichael, Austin and Alex Everhart, and Jade Wright; a brother, Earl Cummins, of Fordland, Missouri; two sisters, Pearl Regan, of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Hazel Bryant, of Cottonwood, Arizona; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Seymour, Missouri area. After she and Chester were married, they made their home in the Seymour community, and lovingly raised their son. Throughout her life, Agnes was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family.
Agnes had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a founding member of the Lone Star Freewill Baptist Church in Seymour.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, and working in her garden. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Agnes was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends will live on forever.

Services will be held Wednesday April 23, 2003 at 2:00p.m. in the Holman-Howe Chapel. Burial will follow in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held April 22, 2003 from 7-8:00p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour, Missouri.
