Mr. Marty Lee Short, age 19, of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born August 9, 1988 in Carroll County, Georgia. Mr. Short was an employee of TriMac. Family members surviving are wife, Sandra Leigh Powell Short; daughter, Adrianna Leigh Short; parents, Marty L. Short and Derae Ann Smith Short; sisters and brothers, Travis Burton Short, Amy Ann Short, Leisa Emily Short, and Holly Grace Short. Grandparents, Annie Lou Smith Chandler and Mattie Vaynell Smith; great-grandmother, Mamie Smith also survive. The funeral service for Mr. Marty Lee Short will be conducted on Friday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Hall and Rev. Rodney Wilburn officiating. The interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery in Cedartown. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home. The gentlemen serving as pallbearers are Brandon Smith, Jeremy Garrison, Kyle Smith, Bubba Powell, Chris Sutton, Jame Petway, Colby Dyer, Chad Cox, and Chris Cates. The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
