Enrolled on May 20th,1898,for two years of service; mustered into service as First Lieutenant & Regimental Quartermaster of the 3rd Tennessee Volunteer Infantry Regiment, no date, mustered out of service with the Regiment on January 31st,1899, at Anniston, Alabama. Appointed as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Artillery Corps on August 22nd,1901; accepted the appointment on February 20th,1902. Died on December 6th,1950.
