she was adopted by robert Manzer 1878-1959 and his first wife


She had to fight for years to see who her birth parents were; when she received her birth certificate [filed 1942(!) Emma Nelson was listed as her mother although her fathers name had been erased; {the Dodge family refused to acknowledge her existence and faught against her in court] a DNA test was taken but results not relased nor used against her ; ironically after she passed away her daughter took a DNA test and found that she and her mother was related to the John Dodge {mother] and nelson familes
