Mrs. Pierce, born April 24, 1910, in the Flona Community of Heard County, was the daughter of the late Shellie and Mahaley Cordillia Noles Cosper. She had lived here since 1951, retired from the Dunson Division of West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Company and attended Sunnyside Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Shellie Pierce and Paul Pierce, both of LaGrange, David Pierce of Omaha, Ala.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Knight officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of her son, Shellie Pierce, at 315 Sivell Road and will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
