Forrest Elmo Baker was born on 18 August 1910 at Bangs, Brown County, Texas, the son of Leonard Watson Baker and Louella Stratton. He was the second of nine children born to this couple. The family moved to around a few times before settling in Amarillo, Texas.
Forrest married Ruth Marie Lane about 1930. By 1940, Forrest and Ruth had migrated their family to California, settling in Modesto. They lived there for the remainder of their lives.
Forrest passed away on 20 October 1985 in Modesto and was buried in the Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery. Unsure of where Ruth is buried or when she died. At least three of their children are buried here in Lakewood.
