Hallie Boatner Moody Gowan was the youngest daughter of John Madison Moody born in Indiana and Delia Boatner Mays Moody born in Louisiana. She was born in Midland Texas. By 1900, she moved to Eddy, N. M. with her family until 1903 when she came to Ft. Worth, Texas with them. She married and moved back to New Mexico for a short time, before returning to the Ft. Worth area where she lived most of her life. She had two sons, Moody C Gowan and Garrett H Gowan Jr. who lived into adulthood. Her grave is not marked. She is buried with her husband, and father and mother.
