Matthew Acosta, age 46, of San Tan Valley, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

Matthew was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle, friend and a proud Steelers fan. Although we mourn the loss of this great man, we must also celebrate his life and the impact he had on all of us. He was a man of great character, charm, and passion, who lived life to the fullest and left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

One of the most distinctive things about him was his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a true fan, through and through, and would never miss a game. He could talk for hours about the team's history, their players and their chances of winning the Super Bowl. Another thing we will always remember about him was the way he was always playing with his mustache. He loved to use his tongue or hands and would always make us smile. It was one of those small, quirky things that made him who he was. It was also worth noting that he was born on Thanksgiving Day. This meant that his mom did not get to eat her turkey because she was giving birth in the hospital. But we like to think that he more than made up for it over the course of his life.

He was a generous, kind and had a great sense of humor. Our family is devastated beyond words knowing we will never hear Matthew's voice again saying I love you, telling a joke or sharing laughter. The outpouring of support and love everyone has given has been greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. Thank you to everyone for loving Matthew and grieving him alongside with us now. May God bless you all and remember to tell everyone you love them every chance you get.
