Mary Hughes, 66 of Brookville, was welcomed into the loving arms of our LORD on Sunday January 28,2024. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and loyal pup Jaxson. She was born on January 2, 1958, in Greenville, Ohio to Cody and Geneva Thomas.

Mary was a 1976 graduate of Miamisburg High School. In her youth Mary was very active in the Order of the Rainbow Girls and held off as Charity and Worthy Advisor. She was also the 1975 Demolay Sweetheart of the Miamisburg Chapter order of the Demolay. She Was a Devoted and loving mother to her 3 children as well as all of her "wayward" children over the years. She was very involved and spent time as a Girl Scout leader, T-ball coach, stagehand, classroom aide, field trip chaperone, pit crew member and could always be found supporting her children at ball games, wrestling matches, practices,4-H events and any other activities her children were involved in. She worked many years as a bookkeeper in her career. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting and making flower headstone saddles for her friends and family. She was a huge music lover and enjoyed listening to her favorite local band(Flashback) and dancing. Mary loved the beach and gardening and always had an infectious smile that could light up a room and was a mastermind when it came to shenanigans! She attended Salem Church of GOD in Clayton, Ohio

Mary was preceded in death by her Parents, her brother Ronnie Thomas, her sister and brother-in-law Diana and Fred Green and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her sister Rita (Jerry) Whittle, children, Dustin Ladd, Renae (Benjamine) Dull and Randy and (Carissa) Ladd; her nephew Jason (dana) Green, niece Brooke (Christopher) Brown, niece Kristal Thomas and Grandchildren Alania, Brycen, Aaleigh, Aubrey and Cora. Mary was also survived by her special "adopted" grandchildren Morgan and Leah Milller, as well as her ex-husbands whom she still considered family. Randy Ladd and Bret Holtzman along with some of her dearest friend Cathy, Connie, Belinda, Jill and Gary.

A celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at Salem Church of GOD in Clayton, Ohio on Monday February 5, 2024 from 10am-12pm with funeral services following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Salem Church of GOD in Mary's name.
