On August 6th, 1923 a beautiful baby girl was born to Fred Mack and Ethel McClain. They named her Addie Mae, she was the second of eleven children. She grew up in a Christian home blessed by God. Addie attended public school and was a very quiet and loving person, who easily got along with others. She was loved by all who knew her. Always ready to share and help anyone she could. Addie contributed to her community working at a daycare and a home health care provider for the elderly. Addie became affiliated with Loving Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she was a loyal member. Addie met and married Mr. Nathaniel King after one year of dating in February of 1940. To this union seventeen children were born. Addie was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her family and she was a homemaker first. Addie was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ethel McClain. Five brothers and two sisters, and her first born child, Nathaniel King, III. The family she leaves to mourn her passing are her devoted husband of sixty seven years, Nathaniel King Jr. Twelve children, Margarete Cope, King Zella Alexander, Rena Logan, Mignon Brooks, Vanessa Johnson, Shena Gunn, Rodslen Brown, and Zenobia Howard, all of Muskogee, OK, Nathash Firth of Owasso, OK, Edward King, of Pasadena, CA, Anthony King and Ishmeal King, both of Muskogee, OK, one brother Frank McClain, Sr. of Emporia, KS. Two sisters, Ruth Ella Wilson and Ethel McJunkins, both of Muskogee, OK, forty-two grandchildren, ninety great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren. A special cousin, Vivian of Oklahoma City, OK and many nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.The homegoing service for Addie will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Boulevard Christian Church, with Rev. James McCracken serving as host pastor. Rev. Gary Hall, Sr. Pastor of Loving Mt. Calvary Baptist Church will officiate the services. She will be laid to eternal rest in Booker T. Washington Cemetery.
