Joe Charles Haggard, Sr. entered into eternal life on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He entered this life on Friday, July 4, 1958 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Ray and Beulah Gilley Haggard. As a young boy, Joe moved with his family to Council Hill, Oklahoma where he grew up, graduating from Midway High School in 1976. After graduation he worked for John Zink, BRB Lumber and Cadet Manufacturing as a Welder. His loved Rodeo's and working with horses, hunting and fishing. He loved being outdoors. He was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church of Council Hill, Ok. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Ray and Beulah Haggard. Joe is survived by his Son Joe Charles "Joey" Haggard, Jr. and his wife Shalleta of Checotah; Brother, Ray Haggard and his wife, Annette of Tulsa, Ok. a Niece, Stephanie Hall of Atoka, Ok.; Nephews, Eugene Haggard of Lincoln, Nebraska and Tyler Haggard of Sapulpa, Ok.; Valerie Miner, Mother of his son Joey; Great-Aunts, Ada Deering of Cushing, Ok and Alice Jones of Conway, Ark. and several cousins and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Checotah Church of Christ with Mr. Everett Dunn, officiating. Committal Prayers and Interment will follow in Council Hill Cemetery with Clay Collins, Aaron Tate, Tommy Miner, Tyler Haggard, Clay Hanson, and Danny Hanson, serving as Casket Bearers. Bob Sparks, Tom Ford, Steven Ledbetter and James Charles Jones will serve as Honorary Casket Bearers.
