Velda A. Easterday, 89, of Milan, Mo., died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Milan Health Care Facility. The daughter of Lee Ellsworth and Luri (Creason) Lowery, she was born April 26, 1919, in Chautauqua, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil F. Easterday; a son, Norman Easterday of Kansas City, his wife Martha; an infant granddaughter, Julie Ann Easterday; a half- brother and two half-sisters. She is survived by two grandsons, James Easterday and wife Sharon, and Brian Easterday and wife Debbie, all of Kansas City, Kan.; two half-sisters and a half-brother, all of Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.. Wednesday, May 7, at Glenn E. Kent & Son Funeral Home in Milan, with burial in Scobee Cemetery in Pollock, Mo.
