Pauline "Pat" Clara Howerton, 75, of Muskogee was born January 9, 1933 in Warner, OK to Lorene (Peterson) and Theodore Stewart. She moved with her family to Muskogee before starting to school. Mom was educated in the Muskogee School System.Mom and Dad, Charles L. Howerton were married on May 4, 1951 in Van Buren, AR. This marriage was blessed with three children: daughter, Sheila Kay Howerton Cragg, son, Loyd Allen Howerton and daughter, Janet Lynn Howerton Lone.Mom died Thursday morning, April 10, 2008 at Park Boulevard Care Center from Alzheimer's Disease. She had been a resident of Park Boulevard Care Center since January, 2002 where she received excellent care.Mom is survived by her daughter, Sheila of Muskogee, son, Loyd and wife, Donna of Punta Gorda, FL and son-in-law, Wayne Lone of Argyle, TX.Grandchildren are Chandra Cragg Faulk and husband, Thomas of Muskogee, Scott Cragg and wife, Shelley of Oklahoma City, Shavonne Cragg of Muskogee, Charles Robert Howerton and wife, Keona of Frisco, TX; Matthew Fowler and Brian Fowler of Punta Gorda, FL. Great grandchildren are Nathan Faulk, Abbey Faulk, Gracie Faulk, Ruthie Faulk, Zachary Cragg, Zane Cragg and Adolyn Fowler. Mom is also survived by her step-father, John Ricketts; brother, Emmett Stewart and wife, Margaret of MO; brother, Cleo Stewart and wife, Ramona of Muskogee, brother, Rick Ricketts and wife, Patty of Texas, and sister-in-law, Shirley Stewart.Mom was preceded in death by Dad on August 1, 2004, by daughter, Janet Lone on October 6, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Ricketts, her father, Theodore Stewart, step-mother Christine Stewart, brother Donnie Stewart, brother Ted Stewart and sister Lavenia Ripka.Services for Mom will be Monday, April 14, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Oldham Memorial Baptist Church where she and Dad became members in 1999. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery next to Dad and daughter, Janet.Pallbearers are Scott Cragg, Robert Howerton, Thomas Faulk, George Frazier, Rick Marshall and Lane Marshall.
