Linda Louise Jordan, longtime resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died Friday, April 11, 2008, in Tulsa, at the age of 66 years. She was born July 18, 1941, at Bristow, Oklahoma, to Wilmer Edward and Mary Magdalene (Howard) Martin. She was reared and educated in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Muskogee High School Class of 1959. She continued her education attending Northeastern State University at Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she earned her Bachelors of Education Degree. She was married August 17, 1963, in Muskogee, to David Jordan. Linda spent most of her working life as a teacher, including one year in New Mexico, 30 years with Tulsa Public Schools, and 14 years with Victory Christian Schools. She was a faithful Christian and member of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes, but teaching was her passion. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.Loving family members include her husband of over 44 years; David, of the home, daughter and son-in-law; Kristy and Steve Peters, of Owasso, OK, son and daughter-in-law; Chad and Alicia Jordan, of Tulsa, six grandchildren; Kelsey Peters, Emilie Peters, David Reel, Joshua Brown, Braxton Jordan, Hannah Jordan. Two brothers and sisters-in-law; John and Pat Martin, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Leroy and Linda Martin, of Fort Worth, Texas, sister and brother-in-law; Liz and Richard Ray, of Tulsa, mother; Magalene Martin, of Tulsa.Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Victory Christian Center in Tulsa with Pastor Billy Joe Daugherty officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Stephen Ray, Daniel Ray, Chris Martin, Jeff Martin, Tim Brown, and Jonathan Cumpton. Honorary casket bearers will be Leon Rombach, Bill Armstrong, and Steve Cumbey. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso.
