Elsie Schulz graduated to her heavenly home suddenly on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She now lives on with her husband of 40 years, David Schulz and her parents, Adelgunda and Henry Henschel.

Elsie was born in Barrhead January 26, 1932 and was raised in a loving farm family with her brother, Harry Henschel. She grew up with a passion for horses, reading, politics and a love for her lord, Jesus, who she brought into every conversation with her family. She loved her work as a nursing trainee in the Barrhead hospital, but was convinced by her sweetheart, David, to get married and stay home to raise a family. They lived on a farm 5 km west of Barrhead for 6 years, then Barrhead for another 25 before retiring back to the farm they both loved in 1985.

She leaves to mourn her loss Ruth and Wayne (Timothy and Jeremy), Karen and Roland (Amanda and Bernie, Hudson and Sophie, Blair and Lindsay), Brian and Lois (Gina), Marilyn and Martin (Jessica, Luca and Elliot, Amy and Chris, Hannah, Kadi and Tanner, Jack, Jon), Lori and Omer (Azalea) and her brother, Harry Henschel and numerous nephews and nieces and their families, whom she loved.

She instilled in her children and grandchildren a love for the Bible and a faith in Jesus. We will miss her but rejoice in having had her in our lives for over 85 years and knowing she is reunited with our dad.
