Gene W. Fraleigh, Sr., a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Monday, February 5, 2001 at his home. He was 75 years old. A US Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Fraleigh was actively involved in veterans associations in the City of Yonkers where he served as Past Commander of the American Legion Chippewa Post 1412 and of the VFW Lowerre Post 3083. He also served as chairman of the Central Committee of War Veterans in Yonkers. He was predeceased in 1999 by his dear wife, Doris T. Woods Fraleigh. He was the dear father of Gene W. Fraleigh, Jr. and his wife, Mary Beth and Karen Carretta and her husband, Anthony. Dear grandfather of Elise and Amber. Funeral service Friday 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with interment following at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY. The family will be present Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. F.
