GASTONIA. Aug. 21.—Thomas Clingman Corn, 78-year old retired railroad fireman, died suddenly at his home in South Gastonia last night after a heart attack. Previously he had been in excellent health. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, and burial will be in Olney Presbyterian cemetery in South Gastonia Corn is survived by his widow. Mrs. Mattie Childers Corn, two children: Kimbrell K. Corn of Gastonia, Route 3, and Mrs. A. F. Bruton of Lexington; one brother, Frank M. Corn of Hendersonville; and two sisters, Mrs. Sallie McHan of Hendersonville, and Mrs John Hawkins of Greenville, S. C.
