Sympson, Evelyn B. "Mimi"
Evelyn "Mimi" B. Sympson, 97, died on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Delmar Gardens Nursing Home in Lenexa, Kansas. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 11, 1911, and lived in the Kansas City area most of her life. Prior to retirement, she was co-owner of The Younger Set, a tots-to-teens clothing store in Fairway and later Mission, Kansas. She was a member of the Country Club Christian Church. Her husband, Robert H. Sympson, and sister, Pauline Kirshe, preceded her in death in 1977. Survivors include a son, Bob Sympson, and wife Peggy of Southlake, Texas and granddaughters, Carey Denney of Atlanta, GA, and Jenny York of Haymarket, Virginia. She also leaves four great grandchildren: Jack and Kyle Denney, and Ryan and Elysha York and one niece, Jolene Nesselhuf of Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, at 12:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Muehlebach Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri. Burial will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.
