Linda Lou Fall, age 83, of Washington, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2024, surrounded by family at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona, Iowa.
Celebration of life services will be held at a later date with interment at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. Memorials have been established for Pleasantview Home's Aviary. Linda was born November 26, 1940, in Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Wiley and Lela (Spinks) Ahn. She attended school in Albia, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. After high school Linda worked as a legal assistant and later, a receptionist at the Albia Hospital. She was united in marriage to Jack Fall on March 30, 1961, in Albia, Iowa. Linda and Jack lived in Albia until 1967 when the moved to Washington, Iowa, to open their State Farm Insurance Agency.
Linda worked as the Office Manager at State Farm Insurance with her husband, Jack, for over fifty years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Her faith was very important to her and something she enjoyed sharing with family and others. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her roses, and bird watching. One of her greatest joys came from spending time and attending events with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda was a kind and compassionate person who had a knack for helping others which continued after her death as a donor to the Iowa Donor Network.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacki Robison of Peoria, Arizona; son, Steven (Lynn) Fall of Birmingham, Iowa; daughter, Dawn (Brian) Hayes of Washington, Iowa; six grandchildren: Robert (Carli) Robison, Ryan (Madison) Robison, Joseph Patterson and significant other, Elizabeth Brown, Summit Keith, Justin (Elizabeth) Hagans and Jordan (Caitlyn) Hagans; and ten great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Jonah, Oliver, Adrian, Liam, Elodie, Olive, Mason, Scout and Addison. She is also survived by her brother, James Ahn of Albia, Iowa; sisters, Judy Ahn of Albia, Iowa; Trudy McDowell of Des Moines, Iowa; Darlene Beale of Des Moines, Iowa; brother-in-law, Bill (Joan) Fall, and sister-in-law, Linda (Jack) Wenger of Des Moines, Iowa.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; brother, Richard Ahn; brother, Albert (Gertrude) Ahn; brother, Wiley (Carol) Ahn; and brother, Thomas Heyland.
