On Monday, July 25, 2016, Theresa Lawanda Jones passed away at the Walter Reed National Medical Center where she has worked for more than 30 years as a financial manager. Theresa was born in Long Island, NY, on April 22, 1951, to Frank and Barbara Alvarez. Theresa married Earle Thomas Jones Sr who preceded her in death on November 7, 1992. Theresa is survived by her children Kim Jones, Nikki Harris and Matthew Jones; her siblings Maria Winston, Alicia Rodriguez, Alvira Pollard, Rosita Rodriguez, Michael Wack and Barry Cheeks. She is also survived by her grandchildren James, Antonio, Faith, Jonathon and Angelica. Theresa had a wonderful singing voice and loved to sing on the church choir, loved family time and she was a very giving person who loved loved her grandchildren. She was a good person who was loved by many people. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, MD where services will be in on Friday at 10 am.
