George B. Clinton died early this morning at his home, 20 North Chestnut street, New Paltz, after a short illness. He was born in Modena, son of the late James D. and Margaret Costello Clinton. Mr. Clinton, a retired grocer, had owned and operated a store in New Paltz for many years. Surviving are two brothers, Thomas and Leroy Clinton; six sisters, Mrs. Henry Alsdorf and Mrs. Sidney Wells of Walden, Miss Grace Clinton of New Paltz, Mrs. George F. Anderson and Mrs. Arthur Davis of Poughkeepsie and Mrs. John Formisano of Delanson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Pine Funeral Home, New Paltz, at 2 p. m. Monday with the Rev. Willett Porter officiating. Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
