James Redford "Jim" Voss, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in Tulsa. He was born March 7, 1927 in Alex, Grady County, Oklahoma. Jim was the youngest of four children born to Clifton and Effie (Hennington) Voss. He attended Hawkins Grade School for eight years, graduating fromAlex High School in 1944. In grade and high school, he was active in the Four-H Club and FFA. Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1949. Later, he received his MBA degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. During World War II, Jim was inducted into the armed services where he obtained the rank of Sergeant in the Transportation Corp.After graduation from the University of Oklahoma, Jim was associated with the Economy Company, an Educational Publisher, and other companies in Oklahoma City. In August 1976, he purchased Fullerton Electric Supply in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Jim retired in 1988 after he sold the company to Stuart C. Irby Company. Before his retirement, Jim was active in the Muskogee Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.On October 1966, Jim married Elizabeth Jean Seibold at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jean predeceased him July 17, 2001.Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, his parents and two brothers, Clinton Dewayne and Wade Wardell Voss. Survivors include one daughter, Andrea Elizabeth Finkelstein and husband, Lee of New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Frances Louise Lukes, Pocataello, Idaho; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Alport Finkelstein and James Voss Finkelstein and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Grace Episcopal Church. Prior to the memorial service, a private family internment will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
