Versailles Statesman 30 April 1914

Mrs. Ora Leatherman, who was Miss Bessie Sparks until she was married to Ora Leatherman of Versailles about eleven months ago. She died at her home in Glensted Tuesday.
Sometime ago Mrs. Leatherman had a severe attack of pneumonia and had barely recovered from that until other troubles appeared which terminated her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Glensted and of church and social societies there. She was counted a good church worker and an excellent neighbor. The remains will be held until the arrival of a brother, who is in a distant land and who is not expected before Monday or Tuesday.

Bess was an organist in Glensted Church and one day a year was set aside to honor her memory from the Glensted Ladies Group after her death.
