DR. A. E. FOCHT
A. E. Focht was born March 25, 1860, at Uniopolia, Ohio, and died at his home in Great Bend, Kan., on January 8, 1920 at the age of 59 years, 9 months, and 13 days.
He came to Kansas in 1883, after being graduated from Hannaman Homeopathic Medical College of Chicago he entered the practice of Medicine in Madison, and remained here unto 1905. He also had post-graduate work at Philadelphia Polytichnic and Tulane University at New Orlean, Louisiana.
He married on May 17th, 1877, to Miss Mary Roach, and to them were born two sons, Horace, a train dispatcher at Arkansas City and Fred, who is at home. He is survived by his wife and children, 3 brothers, Allen, living at Uniopolis, Ohio, William, of Twin Falls, Ohio, Lewis, of Emporia: 2 sisters, Mrs. Sarah Borton of Lamar, Colo., and Mrs. Mary Umbaugh of Springdale, Ark.
Dr. Focht was a member of A. F. & A. M., Elks, M. W. A. and Ks. Fraternal Citizens.
The body brought to Madison Sun. morning and the funeral services were held in the Methodist Church. After the religious service.
