Eleanor Marie Edge, 75, was born on January 8,1933 the daughter of Joe and Doris Hacker. After a long battle with Alzheimer, she joined her parents and her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Edge, on May 3, 2008.Eleanor graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1950. She was an honor student, talented pianist and singer. Eleanor married Robert Eugene Edge on July 29,1950 and celebrated 54 years of marriage with him. She was an active member of Westside Church of Christ and later East Okmulgee/Chandler Road Church of Christ; continuously involved with her four children's activities and active in the operation of the family's business. Eleanor retired in 1996 from Muskogee High School. She enjoyed camping trips with her family and friends and singing with the Sweet Adeline's. Eleanor is survived by her three daughters, Doris (Lonnie) Philpott of Simpsonville, SC, Susan Edge of Tulsa, Deborah (Mike) Pratt of Houston, TX; one son, Robert (Melissa) E. Edge Jr. of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Sheri (Kevin) Smith of Inman, SC, Tami (Ken) Fowler of Simpsonville, SC, Joshua Pratt of Houston, TX, Kristen (Trey) Pratt-Merkle of Houston, TX, and Robert J. and Victoria Edge of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Colton and Savannah Marie Fowler of Simpsonville, SC, Eleanor and Aaron Jackson Smith of Inman, SC; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Joe Hacker, Jr. and Joan Hacker of Huntsville, AL; sister-in-law, Betty Edge of Muskogee; uncle, Paul Shipman of Sapulpa; nephew and three nieces.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 7, 2008 at Lescher- Millsap Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with Dr. Tim Hacker , nephew, officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Lonnie Philpott and Mike Pratt; grandsons, Joshua Pratt and Robert J. Edge; great-grandson, Colt Fowler; grandsons-in-law, Ken Fowler, Kevin Smith and Trey Merkle. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
