Eiko Nishimori Newman Kennedy was born in Bangaichi, Utabue-mura, Sangko-mura, Hokkaido, Japan to (Father) Nasagoro Nishimori and (Mother) Ishi Nishimori on March 22, 1934. She received her Certificate of Naturalization from the U.S.A. on June 14, 1966.She was preceded in death by (2nd husband) Byron (Jack) Kennedy, her parents and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by (sister) Hiroko Inoue of Tokyo, Japan; six children: (daughter) Theresa and Mike Green of Muskogee; (son) Charles Newman, Jr. of Muskogee; (son) Greg and Susan Newman of Fayetteville, AR; (daughter) Becky and Mark Ellison of Muskogee; (daughter) Susan and Dale Perry of Muskogee; (daughter) Brenda and Jerry Jordan of Muskogee; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.She was an incredible woman. She fell in love and came to America because of that love. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker for 13 years. Then, because of life circumstances, she became the bread winner, mother, and father to all six of her children-the singular foundation on which all of them thrived. She worked as a tailor at Plaza Clothiers, Coburn's, and The Buckle until her retirement. She always had lots of love, happiness, a can-do-attitude, and a great sense of humor, all of which she passed on to her children, and they thank her for those gifts. She went to be with Jesus on April 14th, 2008 with her six children surrounding her with their love and comfort.The service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2008 at the National Cemetery, Fort Gibson. Pallbearers were grandsons, Patrick Sanders, Jr., Andrew Green, Justin Perry, Derek Ellison, Wesley Newman, Hunter Newman and son-in-law, Mark Ellison.
