Jeanne Carmen Knapp, 78, of Hartford, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.
Funeral services were held at noon on Tuesday, June 26, at Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with the Rev. Ron Hansen of Hartford United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Knapp was born July 16, 1922, in Hartford, the daughter of Charles and Weltha (Smith) Goodrich. She had owned and operated Jeanne's Beauty Shop in Hartford for more than 40 years and loved to work in her garden.
Survivors include: a daughter, Vicki (William) Mach of Hartford; two grandchildren–Mindi (Brian) Mach-May of St. Joseph and Rodney Mach of Ypsilanti; three sisters — Nellie (Max) Moses of Lawrence, Joyce (Russell) Kime of St. Joseph, and Joanne (Roger) Duncombe of Hartford; a brother, Robert F. Goodrich of Hartford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
she was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Wesley, on December 31, 1996; and three sisters–Cecile Ackerson, Mildred Boynton, and Helen Hones
