Francis D. DuBois
Francis "Skip" D. DuBois, 69, Topeka, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. DuBois was a carpenter and had worked in the Topeka area for many years. He also was a Navy veteran of World War II and of the Vietnam War.
He was born March 4, 1928, in Almena. He had lived in Norfolk, Va., before he moved to Topeka in 1973.
He was married to Leona Redding in 1964 in Norton. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Rick J. Pardee, Topeka; a stepson, Lynn Taylor, Freeman, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Shirley DeTienne, Topeka; a sister. Marge Hortenstine, Topeka; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. DuBois will lie in state at the funeral home, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
