He was born in Joanna and was a son of the late Ervin and Jettie Fennell Norris.
After 25 years of service, Mr. Norris retired from the City of Clinton Police Department as a lieutenant. At the time of his death he was employed as a driver with Champion Coach. He was a graduate of the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy and the S.C. Fire Academy.
Surviving are his brother, Eddie Norris of Clinton; a sister, Dottie Mars of Joanna; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Norris Bradberry.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 4 p.m. in the Broad St. United Methodist Church with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of his brother, 8108 Old Milton Road, Clinton.
