Vivian Luverne Long was born on August 14, 1936 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Brookie and Elma Streeter Turk. She grew up and went to school in Sussex and attended Kaycee High School. She was married on September 11, 1953 in Buffalo to Warren F. Long and they made their home in Hastings, Nebraska where Warren worked at the Naval Base and Vivian was a homemaker. In 1957 Warren and Vivian returned to Sussex where they lived for a time before moving to Edgerton, Wyoming for Warren's work. They then moved back to Sussex where they lived until Warren retired in 1986. Warren passed away in May of 2007 and Vivian moved into Kaycee where she lived at the Bunkhouse until moving to Buffalo to live in the Clear Creek Apartments. She became a resident at the Amie Holt Care Center in February of this year, where she lived until her death.

Vivian loved reading, taking walks, spending time with family and friends and always had a smile. She was a very warm, loving and caring person who was loved by all.

She is survived by two sons, Floyd Long of Buffalo and Scott Long and his wife Marilyn of Kaycee one daughter VeNancy Rae Niswender of Buffalo; one Sister Sandra Streeter of Casper; one half-sister Martha Clark of Denver, Colorado; one half-brother Leslie Clark of Buffalo; four grandchildren Vanessa, Nathan, Hillary and Ryan Long; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and her four legged constant companion of 13 years, Rosie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her step-mother Louise Turk, two brothers Raleigh Turk and Brookie Turk.

Funeral Services for Vivian Long, 80 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo. A private family interment will be held in the Kaycee Cemetery.
