Mrs. Penina Mayfield, wife of J.P. Mayfield, the drayman, living in Rosedale, died this morning between 12 and 1 o'clock, of consumption, at the age of 39 years. Mrs. Mayfield had been a sufferer for ten years and had been growing quite weak of late. She was hardly able to go to the polls and cast her vote at the recent election and was not able to come to town to register. She will be buried from the Christian church at 10 o'clock tomorrow, Rev. Harlan conducting the services and interment being made in Prairie Lawn cemetery.
