Geneva E. Netherland Breeck, 91, of Vevay, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg.
She was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Switzerland County, the daughter of Norvin and Millie K. McKenzie Netherland. She attended the Spring Branch School. She retired from the skiving room of the U.S. Shoe Factory in Vevay on Dec. 22, 1978, after 27 years of service. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Vevay. She loved to read, watch soap operas, dance, exercise and take long walks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Breeck, whom she married Nov. 6, 1937, and who died Nov. 20, 1992; her parents; one sister, Freda Ackerman; and one grandson.
The funeral was at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was in Vevay Cemetery.
