Walter R. Hicks Jr., 70, of Lake Harmony, Pa., died Thursday, April 8, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.

Born: In Edwardsville, Pa., a son of Florence Richards Hicks of Nazareth and the late Walter R. Hicks Sr.

Personal: His wife, the former Nora Kleinle, died Dec. 19, 2001.

He was a retired supervisor for Mack Printing in Easton.

Survivors: his mother; a son, Walter R. III of Hazleton, Pa.; daughters, Wendy Hicks of Syracuse, N.Y., Tammy Hicks of Jim Thorpe, Pa., Kelly and her husband, Lamar Schafer, of West Hazleton, Pa. and Susan and her husband, Edward Cwiertniewicz, of Albrightsville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, John C. Hicks of Dixon, Tenn.; and a sister, Kathryn and her husband, Stephen Wallo, of Easton.

Services: Services will be private and at the convenience of the family in the church.

There will be no calling hours. The Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, Jim Thorpe, Pa., is in charge of arrangements.
