Peggy Sue Adkins of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Friday at Mulberry Creek Assisted Living at the age of 87. She was a daughter of the late Jennings and Elva Adkins.
Peggy was a graduate of Green Cove High School. She moved to Virginia in her early twenties, where she worked at DuPont for 35 years. She was an avid Gator fan, and she loved the beach. Peggy especially enjoyed making ceramics with her friends for her favorite holiday, Christmas.
Also preceding her in death was her sister, Mary Nice (Rance).
Survivors include her nieces, Bonita Nice-Hood (Danny), Belinda Nice (Dell); two great-nephews, Brandon (Carrie) Taylor, and Rance (Allie) Hood; and a great-great-nephew, R. J.
A memorial service was held at 2 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Wright Service Chapel with Neil Pressley officiating.
