Donald E. "Mope" Mayberry, 58, of Equality, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his residence in Equality.
Donald was born on May 3, 1950, in Harrisburg, to the late Darnell and Rosalee (Coseboon) Mayberry. He was a painter.
Donald is survived by a son, T. J. Mayberry; daughter, Amy Hathaway Allen; and the following brothers and sisters, Charles Mayberry, Linda Gidcumb, Larry Mayberry, Gary Mayberry, Kenneth Mayberry, Janet Mayberry and Mary Ann Mayberry; grandson, Kane Allen; and special friends, Bill and Cindy Seets, and Eddie and Cindy Reynolds.
It was his wish to be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Those attending are asked to gather at the cemetery. There will be no visitation at Reed Funeral Chapel.
